It is officially meterological Spring and the children are loving our new Spring Topic called Home and Away. At the end of last half term we had a visiting group come to school to run workshops on African Drumming. The children absolutely loved it and performed to the rest of Key Stage 1.
We are continuing to work hard in English and Maths and the children are really rising to the challenges using their Growth Mindset.
In Art, one of the things we are doing is designing African necklaces. We have made them out of clay and decorated them with repeating patterns and will be painting them and stringing them ready to take home.
In Science we are learning about gardening this term and the children will be growing potatoes and have set broad bean seeds to watch how they grow.
In RE we are learning about Easter and why it is important to Christians.
The children will be doing Athlectics this term and this always proves to be a popular PE activity with them.
