5CL

Hello,

First of all, I would like to welcome you all back after the Summer holidays. I hope you had a fantastic time and got lots of rest and relaxation.

Class 5CL have had a great first week back, getting stuck in with our Autumn Topic, which is 'World War II'. The children took part in a fantastic 'wow day' where they got to experience what it felt like to be at school when an air raid siren went off. We also started making our very own gas masks (within DT) and the children have done an excellent job so far (pictures to come when we have finished). This week, we have also been revisting what it means to have a 'growth mindset' and have created our very own superheros to help show how a growth mindset can be achieved when we find something difficult or challenging. This is incredibly important in Year 5 and the children really got stuck in with their ideas and plots for their hereos comic strip, using lots of growth mindset 'buzz words' and ideas.

We look forward to a fabulous rest of the half term and we are already excited for our trip to Perlthorpe.

Thanks,

Miss Lynch

Penalty notices may be issued for absences/holidays which meet the criteria set out in the Code of Conduct.
